Smithfield offers downloadable walking tour
The Isle of Wight County is offering a downloadable walking tour of downtown Smithfield.
The tour, which was written and produced by Isle of Wight County's Division of Historic Resources, features narration by Brett England of approximately one mile of Smithfield.
Individuals can download the audio file at historicisleofwight.com and transfer it to their MP3 player and bring it, along with a map of the tour stops, with them for the walk.
The narration is designed to sync with walks starting at the Isle of Wight County Museum, 103 Main St., Smithfield, where individuals can also borrow one of the museums iPods to take with them along the tour.
